This past week, we underwent the largest server migration we've ever done here at CodePen. We've always been on Amazon Web Services (AWS), but now we've completely moved to their newer Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) stuff and off of EC2. You probably didn't even notice, unless you were around for about the 22 minutes where we had some assets that weren't being loaded quite right (our bad, should have been less).

Props to our own Tim Sabat for undertaking the journey. There are some tangible benefits to the move, but I'm afraid it's mostly stuff that's just important to us. You probably won't notice much just yet on your end.
