We recently underwent out biggest database migration yet. This time, to Amazon RDS. There were loads of advantages to this. Perhaps the biggest was getting onto a platform that is absolutely built for this. It feels good to be on a system that is well supported and well documented and perfect for what we are doing, rather than on our completely custom and unique setup we had before.

In this show we dig way into the reasoning behind it and exactly how it went down from a technical perspective. We even hired expert help for this project and we discuss why and how we did that.
