It’s Halloween! The brilliant minds of the CodePen community have been hard at work creating Pens that range from the adorable to the horrifying for this most spooky time of year.

The people of the CodePen Creative Challenge are celebrating “Twisted Pumpkins Weekend”, with one firm rule:

In order to participate your pen must, in some way, shape, or form, contain a 🎃!

Tiffany Rayside is curating the CCC collection here. The challenge got off to a smashing start with Nate Wiley’s creation.

Tuts+ kicked off a Spooky Halloween Characters community challenge on the 15th, and they’re gathering the entries in this collection. One of my favorites is Chip Cullen’s subtly flickering pumpkin:
