Keith Collins, for Quartz, rounds up some hilariously bad ways we could ask users to enter a phone number on the web. It all started with this (unverified whether it’s “real” or not):

What we have here is a dystopian vision of what the internet might look like if web developers suddenly stopped caring about user-friendliness.

You gotta go check out the post because there are some absolutely whack and super funny entry methods that were only posted as GIFs. A bunch were created on CodePen though!
